Little is known of F/O L.F. 'Les' Hyam at this time. He was an Australian navigator on the Squadron between Nov. 1943 and April 1945.

He was a member of fellow Australian, Wes Loney's Liberator crew.

According to the Australian National Archives, RAAF personnel records, he was born on 22nd November 1913 in Freemantle WA and enlisted in Perth.
